Team India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal posted a heartfelt message on social media for his former Rajasthan Royals (RR) teammate Jos Buttler on November 8. Both Chahal and Buttler were released by Rajasthan ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auctions. Buttler joined the Royals in 2018, while Chahal became part of the team in 2022. During their time together, the two cricketers developed a close bond within the franchise over the period of time. Meanwhile, Chahal posted a video on his Instagram that captures some fun moments of him and Buttler sharing good times together with the Royals. In his Instagram post, Chahal wrote: “In 2022, I knew him as Jos Buttler. In 2024, he’s my Jos bhai. Loved every day being around you and only a few people know what you’ve done for me. Thank you for always standing by me. And Hopefully, on some evening at 7:30 PM, we both will open the batting together." In response, Buttler liked the post and commented back with "Chahal Bhaiya," reflecting the close friendship they’ve built over the years in the RR camp. Meanwhile, alongside Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal, other prominent names who were released by the RR franchise before the mega auction include Ravichandran Ashwin and Trent Boult.
