Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, the choreographer Dhanashree Verma, have reportedly ended their marriage through legal proceedings. The couple, who tied the knot in December 2020, finalized their divorce at the Bandra Family Court on Thursday. Multiple reports have been suggesting that the Indian spinner had been living separately with Dhanashree Verma for 18 months before the separation was finalized. According to a report from the ABP, the court mandated a counseling session before granting the divorce. Chahal and Dhanashree attended the session, which lasted around 45 minutes. When asked about their decision, both reportedly confirmed they were seeking a mutual separation, citing "compatibility issues" as the primary reason. After the hearing, the court officially granted their divorce, legally dissolving their marriage. According to a report from the Times of India, it is said that Dhanashree has sought ₹60 crore as alimony, though neither party has confirmed this. The financial settlement details remain unclear, and neither Chahal nor Dhanashree have made any public statements regarding the split.
