Fans are asking for their retirement following this series defeat but a few of the players have come out to support these two batters at their worst and one of them is former World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh. Recently the former champion voiced his support for these two batters labelling them as his family members and citing that everyone faces a tough time in their career. As quoted by News18, Yuvraj said: “We are talking about our greats, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma; we are saying very bad things about them. People forget what they have achieved in the past. They are one of the greatest cricketers of this time. Okay, they lost; they did not play good cricket. They are getting hurt more than us.” Both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma failed to perform in the series. The Indian captain only managed to score just 31 runs across three matches he played in the series and Virat Kohli scored 190 runs even after a century in the opening Test match. Amid all these criticisms, it is being said that selectors are looking for other alternatives for the senior batters ahead of their major reb-ball series to England.
