The Australian crowd, who received praise for showing up in large numbers during the pink ball Test against India, has shown utmost "sportsmanship" to counter a behavior that looked against what they call a "gentleman's game." When Mohammad Siraj came to bat in the second inning, the crowd booed him; not only that, when he was going back giving the catch to Travis Head, the crowd got ignited. A great gesture from Jasprit Bumrah to ask Siraj to lead the way towards the dressing room as the "fans" started abusing him, calling him a wanker! Notably, Head scored 140 runs off 141 balls and had just hit a long over-boundary to Siraj in the 140th ball. The local boy Head, who allegedly "mocked" Siraj (as per Head said), saying "well bowled," did not go well with Siraj. After the verbal exchange, it was the crowd who booed him again. His teammate Rishabh Pant went and calmed him down. However, both mates chatted and looked to have solved the issue during Siraj's batting itself. Head clarified that Siraj went to him, saying that the former "misunderstood" Head and to move on from that. However, Rohit Sharma defended Siraj's aggression, saying that it pumps him up to perform better. Added, he said that he finds nothing wrong in it as long as it is not crossing the fine line of courtesy. India lost the second test by 10 wickets and will play the third Test at Brisbane on 14th December.
