Yograj Singh, father of the former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, is known for remarks, and now he commented on his son's life. Yograj, in a recent interview, told that he would have felt proud if Yuvraj had died from cancer during the 2011 ODI World Cup. Yuvraj Singh, who became the player of the tournament in the 2011 World Cup, has been suffering from cancer. During the tournament, he looked uncomfortable multiple times and had vomited blood. During the group match against the West Indies in Chennai, the struggle was real, yet he pulled out a century. Recalling Yuvraj's campains, Yograj said in an interview on Unfiltered by Samdish, “For our country, if Yuvraj Singh had died from cancer and had won India the World Cup, I would have been a proud father. I still am very proud of him. I have told him this over the phone as well. I wanted him to play even when he was spitting blood. I told him, ‘Don’t worry, you won’t die. Eight months after India’s World Cup victory, Yuvraj was diagnosed with cancer, which sidelined him for a year. He made a successful return to international cricket in 2012, playing a T20I against New Zealand.
