Yousuf Mohammed, formerly known as Yousuf Yohana, repeatedly abused India's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav live on TV, despite being repeatedly corrected by the host. The former Pakistan captain was heard deliberately distorting Surya's name as "pig" and blamed the Indian skipper, claiming that the latter forged the umpires to do them favors. Yousuf attended a show on Samaa TV, and as usual, Pakistan was busy discussing being ignored for handshakes after a 7-wicket hefty win. There, Yousuf called Surya as "Suar Kumar Yadav" and claimed that Surya took the wrong ways to win the match. Yousuf was heard saying, "These guys are not able to get out of the film world. Ye Suar Kumar jo hai… Suar Kumar Yadav. India should be ashamed of the way they are trying to win. Getting the umpires in cahoots with them, using the referee to torture (Pakistan). They have probably given the umpire’s finger to (Indian Prime Minister, Narendra) Modi; it just wouldn’t get up whenever we appealed." Even though he did not apologize on his social media, rather he defended recalling an old comment of Irfan Pathan on Shahid Afridi. Yousuf wrote "I didn’t mean any disrespect to any sportsman who plays for his country with passion and grace, but why were the Indian media and people praising Irfan Pathan when he said that Shahid Khan Afridi was barking like a dog? Shouldn’t that have been rejected by everyone who talks about dignity and respect?" The India vs Pakistan handshake fight Pakistan had reportedly threatened to boycott the 2025 Asia Cup if the ICC do not suspend the Zimbabwe referee Andy Pycroft, who was assigned during the September 14 match between India and Pakistan. Pakistan blamed Pycroft for not taking enough action against Suryakumar for not shaking hands with Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha. However, ICC, informed that they will not remove Andy Pycroft, and he will be officiating Pakistan's final match of the group stage, againt the UAE. According to the ICC, Pycroft had no role in the handshake drama. All he did was to transfer the message from SKY to Agha. Meanwhile, there are reports that Pakistan will not be boycotting the tournament. A PTI report said, that the Pakistan Cricket Board officials are in no mood to give a walkover, and there is no formal notice from their side declaring a boycott. Well, reports have allo suggested that Suryakumar Yadav has proposed to deny the Asia Cup, in case they win the final, if is presented by the ACC chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the Chairman of PCB.
