Earlier this year, Yashasvi Jaiswal's potential switch from Mumbai to Goa generated a great deal of interest within Indian domestic cricket. Back in April 2025, the promising batter had requested the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) to grant him a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to play for Goa in the coming season. But just one month later in May, Jaiswal reconsidered and withdrew his NOC application, desiring to remain with Mumbai. Now, it's confirmed that the MCA formally accepted his request to withdraw, which implies that Jaiswal will still play for Mumbai during the 2025–26 domestic season.
