Yashasvi Jaiswal was off to a flying start in Tests, making 712 runs in the last home series against England and getting the spot into the top ten of the ICC Test rankings. On Sunday, just two days before the Test series against Bangladesh, Jaiswal worried the Indian team that led head coach Gautam Gambhir and former captain Virat Kohli into the fray. According to the Indian Express, while Virat Kohli waited to bat in the MA Chidambaram Stadium, he saw Yashasvi Jaiswal get dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah. Well, getting dismissed to such a top bowler like Bumrah wasn't a big matter, but Virat Kohli noticed Yashasvi Jaiswal's struggle and decided to have a chat with him. Against Bumrah who thoroughly beat him to get a ball past his bat and pad and send the middle stump flying, another against Akash Deep with whom he had had a highly challenging encounter a week ago in their Duleep Trophy game. Nathan Lyon and Pat Cummins are keen to face Jaiswal, who has impressed with his aggressive play against England. The report also said that Jaiswal did not face problems against the spinners, which was an important area for the Bangladesh series.
