A Young and rising star in Indian cricket, Yashasvi Jaiswal needs 132 more runs to make a record in the ongoing World Test Championship cycle. He will most likely open alongside skipper Rohit Sharma in a two-match Test series against Bangladesh, which will start on September 19 in Chennai. This young batter has already scored 1028 runs in the current WTC Cycle. If he manages to score 132 runs in the series, then he will come to be the one who has scored the most runs by an Indian batter in one cycle of WTC. Yashasvi is set to surpass former India captain Ajinkya Rahane, who managed 1,159 runs in the WTC 2019-21 cycle. For the record, Jaiswal is one of only three Indian batters to score 1,000 runs or more in a single WTC cycle, joining Rahane and Rohit Sharma. Indian batter, Yashasvi Jaiswal is currently tied for second place in the WTC 2023-25 score charts with England's Ben Duckett, both having scored 1,028 runs, and he needs just 371 more runs to catch Joe Root, who is placed at the top with 1,398 runs.
