Yashasvi Jaiswal made it into the record books during a high-octane clash between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede stadium during the Indian Premier League 2026. The left-handed batter hit a six in the first over off bowler Deepak Chahar to overtake Rohit Sharma in a special IPL record book. Jaiswal now has the most sixes (14) in the first over of an IPL innings. Rohit Sharma follows next on the list with 13 sixes. Youngster Vaibhav Sooryavanshi looked poor in the game as he managed only four runs before being dismissed by Deepak Chahar in the fifth over. Rajasthan Royals skipper Riyan Parag played a quick cameo of 14 off 8 balls, and was sent to dressing room on the last ball of the powerplay. On the other hand, Dhruv Jurel remained unbeaten and tries to stabilize the innings after the quick wickets at the top. MI bowlers were brilliant and created some serious pressure throughout the powerplay and Chahar, Jacks and Ghazanfar all managed a wicket. With the playoffs on the line, RR need to find some miracle to bring themselves back in to the game from the middle order.
