The Royal Challengers Bangalore have been very clear in their intention for the WPL 2026 mega auction. Retaining four important players-Smiriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Richa Ghosh, and Shreyanka Patil-have come strong to base their squad since it gives RCB a mix of experience, all-round skills, and match-winning abilities. After these retentions, RCB will still have an approximate remaining purse of Rs 6.15 crore, in addition to one RTM card. This leaves them in a great position to target players who can come in and fill in the left gaps in their teams. Mainly, these are the fast-bowling department, an overseas spinner, and a top-order batter who would stabilize the set-up alongside the big guns. Top Five Players RCB Could Target in WPL 2026 Auction Dayalan Hemalatha RCB needs a solid Indian middle-order batter able to score briskly under pressure situations. So in that role, Dayalan Hemalatha seems to be a good pick. She is not expensive and possesses very good striking abilities in the middle overs. Most of the time, RCB has struggled to find stable No. 4 or No. 5 batters, and Hemalatha could solve that problem. Georgia Wareham She played an instrumental role in RCB's title win of 2024, regularly picking wickets at crucial moments and applying pressure in the middle overs. Though released by RCB, the franchise may seek Wareham again if unsuccessful with Amelia Kerr. She understands the team and would fit right in. She delivered her magic with the ball in previous season by scalping 12 wickets in eight matches and she is someone who can also contribute with the bat as well. She was clinical in the previous season, and looking at her recent form, RCB will surely make a bid for her in the Mega Auction. Danielle Wyatt-Hodge Danielle Wyatt-Hodge still remains one of the most explosive openers in T20 cricket. She gives quick starts and has a rich experience in global leagues. If RCB want another overseas seasoned batter who can support Smriti Mandhana at the top, Wyatt-Hodge is a strong option. Her recent form in WBBL is impressive and hence, she is likely to get a bid from RCB.
