The WPL 2026 Auction is just around the corner, and according to a report from ESPNCricinfo, two Indian players Renuka Thakur and Deepti Sharma have made it to the marquee set. Joining them are New Zealand’s Sophie Devine, Amelia Kerr, Australia’s Alyssa Healy, Meg Lanning, England’s Sophie Ecclestone, and South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt. Interestingly, Renuka and Wolvaardt are the only players who have set their base prices below 50 lakh, with Renuka at 40 lakh and Wolvaardt at 30 lakh. In total, 277 players have signed up for the WPL 2026 auction, which is set to take place in Delhi on November 27. When it comes to available slots, the five teams have just 73 spots left to fill, with only 23 of those open for foreign players. This marks the first-ever mega auction in WPL history. However, this strategy means they’ll have the budget and the Right to Match cards to potentially bring those players back. Harleen Deol’s base price is 50 lakh Harleen Deol, who was part of the World Cup-winning squad, has been released from GG but has her base price set at 50 lakh in the all-rounder category. Meanwhile, Radha Yadav and Sneh Rana have listed themselves at 30 lakh. Not to be overlooked, Uma Chetry and Kranti Gaud have also set their base prices at 50 lakh in the top category. Looking at the financials, UPW has a purse of 14.50 Cr, followed by GG with 9 Cr, RCB at 6.15 Cr, MI with 5.75 Cr, and DC at 5.70 Cr. These two teams have managed to retain all five of their players.
