UP Warriorz have replaced Alyssa Healy with West Indies all-rounder Chinelle Henry for the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025. According to reports, Healy opted out of the WPL after the Women's Ashes, which Australia won 16-0 at home. She ruled herself out, as she planned to play her first ODI World Cup that is scheduled this year in India and has lately been suffering with knee and foot problems, due to which she missed several games, including Women's T20 World Cup and Women's Big Bash League 2024 plus the T20I leg of the Ashes. 29-year-old Chinelle Henry has scored 473 runs and taken 22 wickets in 62 T20Is. In December 2024, she scored 43 runs off 16 balls against India in Navi Mumbai. Henry also plays for the Barbados Royals in the Women's Caribbean Premier League (WCPL). The two will be part of RCB for the base price of INR 30 lakhs. Previously, England all-rounder Charlie Dean had joined RCB when Sophie Molineux went out of the competition due to injury. The five-team premier women's tournament, Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 will commence on 14th February 2025 and will run till 15th march 2025.
