England all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt has become the first-ever player to cross the 400-run mark in a season in the Women's Premier League. The Mumbai Indians star has been a constant presence in the team's lineup and is one of the main reasons for the team's success. During the final league match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Sciver-Brunt reached the milestone. In eight matches, she has notched up 416 runs and is the Orange Cap holder now. Ellyse Perry follows with 372 runs, while Shafali Verma holds the third spot with 300 runs. With at least one more innings to play, Sciver-Brunt remains the front-runner for the Orange Cap. However, with RCB knocked out, only Shafali has an outside chance of surpassing her, requiring a big knock in the final. Sciver-Brunt is also among the four players to have played 27 WPL matches. Amanjot Kaur, Amelia Kerr, and Hayley Matthews are the only others to have played as many matches. Others have played 26 matches or fewer. Overall, she has now scored 920 WPL runs, making her one of only three players to surpass the 900-run mark. Perry tops the all-time list with 972 runs, followed by Meg Lanning (939), while Shafali Verma is fourth with 861 runs.
