Defending Champion Team India will open their campaign against the West Indies in the second edition of the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in Malaysia from January 18 to February 2 next year. India has been pooled along with Malaysia, the West Indies, and Sri Lanka in Group A. In the last event held in South Africa, India were the Champions after they beat England. England is grouped in B with Ireland, Pakistan, and the USA. Group C consists of South Africa, New Zealand, new entrant Samoa, and an African qualifier. Group D has Australia, Bangladesh, Scotland, and an Asian qualifier. Each team will compete against all other teams in their group during a round-robin phase, resulting in three matches for each team in the group stage. The top three teams from each of the four groups will advance to the Super Six stage. The teams ranked lowest in Groups A and D, along with those from Groups B and C, will face off in a last-place play-off on January 24. In the Super Six stage, the 12 teams are divided into two groups. Group 1 consists of the top three teams from Groups A and D, while Group 2 includes the leading teams from Groups B and C.
