New Zealand's injury woes continues growing before the second Test against Zimbabwe, with tall fast bowler William O'Rourke the newest addition after suffering a back complaint. He experienced back stiffness on Day 3 of the first Test and has since been returned home for further medical examination. The side had already lost pace bowling all-rounder Nathan Smith, who was excluded with an abdominal strain. Zakary Foulkes, who was called up for the first time, replaced Smith in the unit. Ben Lister, a left-arm fast bowler from Auckland Aces, has now been summoned as cover for O'Rourke and will remain with the team. New Zealand bowling coach Jacob Oram said: "We are hopeful it's nothing too series," New Zealand bowling coach Jacob Oram said. "When he's so important to our side for the next six to eight months but also next year with all the Test cricket, we've got some big tours, we need to make sure we look after the big guy and make sure that he's okay. So we have our fingers crossed for him and hopefully he'll be back on the park soon." With him no longer available, the way is open for Jacob Duffy or Matthew Fisher to make his Test debut. Fisher joined the party right on the eve of the tour after performing well as a net bowler under head coach Rob Walter. New Zealand also await Tom Latham, who was ruled out of the first Test because of a shoulder injury. Captaincy has been temporarily taken up by Mitchell Santner in his place. It is yet to be seen if Latham will be available for the second Test, which begins on August 7.
