The IPL 2026 mini auction is nearing, with the Board of Cricket Control of India silently scratching off nine names from the final list of 359 players. Earlier, it was known that over 1350 players were registered for the 2026 IPL mini Auction. However, on December 9, the board published a final list of 359 players, ensuring fair competition. Later, 9 more players were added at the end of the list, making the count 359. But on December 13, those extra 13 names were no longer visible. Who were those 9 players? Among the nine players, six were from India, who were popular in their domestic circuit. One was from Malaysia, and two were from South India. Notably, all the Indian players had registered their names for the INR 30 lakh base price quota. The names include Mani Sankar Mura Singh, Chama Milind, K.L. Shrijith, Swastik Chikara, Rahul Raj Namala, and Virat Singh. Mura Singh is popular in his state team, Tripura, for his power-hitting capabilities. The Jharakhan prodigy Virat Singh had already represented Sunrisers Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Swastic Chikhara, even though he had great domestic backup, got massive footage during the 2025 IPL playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, especially for his devotion towards Virat Kohli. Who is Virandeep Singh? Notably, an Indian-origin all-rounder from Malaysia, Virandeep Singh, had registered his name for the IPL 2026 mini auction. He had registered himself for the INR 30 lakh. Notably, he has over 3000 T20 runs, and 105 wickets in the format. South Africa’s Eathan Bosch and Australia’s Chris Green completed the list, with each player entering the fray at a base price of ₹75 lakh. Well, the entire process was done silently. And IPL has not given any official declaration on this. Notably, the auctin will be held in Abu Dhabi, on December 16.
