In a major update, RCB star Virat Kohli has given an indication that he wants to lead the team as the captain for the next season of IPL. According to a video of ESPN Cricinfo Chatters, Kohli was willing to take up the role at least for one season. The franchise might look at Kohli if they fail to get the right leader for the next IPL mega auction. A lot of captaincy options are going to be available in this mega auction, as Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer are also going under the hammer. Reports suggests that Kohli would lead the team if RCB fails to find some big name in the Auction. Reports have it that RCB is likely to release the services of Faf du Plessis, who has been the skipper of the team for the last three seasons and who had taken the team into the playoffs twice.
