The International Cricket Council (ICC) has set up a committee to help ease the tensions between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Officials from both boards gathered in Dubai for the ICC meeting on Friday, November 7. These two Asian cricket boards have been at odds ever since the 2025 Asia Cup. The conflict began when Team India refused to shake hands with the Pakistan players, which escalated to PCB Chairman and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi not handing over the Asia Cup trophy to Team India after they declined to accept it from him at the podium. Since then, the trophy has been kept locked away at the ACC office in Dubai, with the BCCI reaching out to the ICC in the aftermath. Interestingly, the Asia Cup dispute wasn’t even on the official agenda for the ICC meeting. Initially, it was reported that Naqvi wouldn’t be attending in Dubai, but he surprised everyone by showing up.
