Nepal recorded a comprehensive 90-run victory over West Indies in the second of the three-match series at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. In the process, they established an unbeatable lead in the series to make history. Nepal's victory by 90 runs is the largest margin of an associate team over a full-member team in men's T20Is. Akeal Hosein hit twice in his initial couple of overs to send Kushal Bhurtel and Rohit Paudel back to the pavilion for single-digit scores before Nepal picked up momentum with 14-run sixth over, as Aasif Sheikh drove Hosein for three boundaries to reach 39/2 mark at the end of powerplay. Zishan Motara was welcomed to the crease with a 13-run over. At the halfway stage, Nepal were 74/3. Sheikh kept collecting runs from his side and took his eighth T20I fifty while Sundeep Jora played aggressive hand before getting out in the 18th over. His sparkling 63-run innings consisted of three fours and five sixes, hitting them off in 39 balls. Nepal took their score above 170 with overs 16 to 20 producing 65 runs, giving West Indies a target of 174 to remain in the series.
