Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman Ishan Kishan was one of the talking points from the IPL 2026 Match 17 between Punjab Kings and SRH in New Chandigarh. Although, he was expected to put on a good show given his ability to hit big sixes and fours, his bat was in focus for a different reason. Kishan’s bat was found to have no logo from any brand on it as he came out to bat which drew everyone’s attention. Players at this stage usually are seen with at least one sponsor’s logo on their bats. Ishan Kishan, who had come in at number 3 at PBKS have opted to bowl first after they won the toss. Without a sponsor logo on his bat on an IPL ground was noticed by the spectators and the issue began to trend on social media. 🚨NO BAT SPONSER ON ISHAN KISHAN BAT🚨- Did Ishan Kishan lose his bat sponsor?🤯 pic.twitter.com/PHv452pGZg — Sam (@Cricsam01) April 11, 2026 Also Read | PBKS vs SRH: Prabhsimran Singh steps out and hits ball to the second tier in Mullanpur Possible Change in Sponsorship deal Ishan Kishan was associated with SG bats for a long time. The brand was visible in his journey from domestic cricket till his International career. Before SG bats he used CEAT bats for the initial period of his career until 2018-19. But since 2019, SG bats were visible in each and every appearance of his career. The current look of Ishan Kishan without a logo on his bat might indicate a change in his deal with the SG bats brand. This often happens when the contract gets finished, and a player is being negotiated with new brands. During this interim period, the players are seen with a stickerless bat. The general belief is that given Kishan's recent performance, his role as captain for the Sunrisers Hyderabad and he may have approached to sign a larger deal with some other brand. No official confirmation has been given by either the player or the brand yet. For now, the blank bat is a major thing for every fan but it has gained the attention they deserve. It will be interesting to see in upcoming matches whether Ishan Kishan signs with a new brand to display its logo or the blank bat becomes his identity for the IPL 2026.
