The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially rescheduled the Women's Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2025. The tournament was previously set to start on Friday, June 6, in Sri Lanka, but now it will be held at a future date. Mr. Mohsin Raza Naqvi, President Asian Cricket Council said: "The ACC is committed to providing opportunities for young women cricketers to develop their skills and compete at the highest level." In retaliation, India conducted military operations in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. These incidents put India's participation in doubt. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia has now confirmed that the tournament was not delayed due to these tensions. The official explanation is weather and health reasons. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia cleared things up, saying: “There has been no discussion or decision to withdraw from any ACC event. Our current focus remains on the Indian Premier League and the upcoming England series for both the men’s and women’s teams.” The inaugural edition of the tournament took place in Hong Kong in 2023. India A won the final in that edition, beating Bangladesh A by 31 runs. Teams participating in that edition were India A, Bangladesh A, Pakistan A, Sri Lanka A, UAE, Nepal, Hong Kong (hosts), and Malaysia. Some of the matches in that edition were also abandoned as a result of rain.
