With only three matches remaining in the IPL 2025 campaign, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have made yet another player addition. Although they are no longer in the playoff hunt, CSK are doing everything they can to not finish last in the standings for the first time in their franchise history. They have now added wicketkeeper-batter Urvil Patel as a replacement for injured Vansh Bedi. 22-year-old Vansh Bedi came very close to featuring for CSK in their previous match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). He was injured during the warm-up session just before the game when he suffered an ankle injury. Team physios helped him off the field in pain. Subsequently, it was revealed that Bedi had torn his ligament in the right ankle. This injury has kept him out of the rest of the season. Bedi was acquired by CSK for ₹55 lakh in the last mega auction, but he failed to get a game under his belt in IPL 2025. He was replaced by Urvil Patel in CSK's squad for the remained of IPL 2025.
