Hailing from Delhi, this young all-rounder has already made a name for himself in the domestic circuit, and this will provide a huge platform for him to showcase his talent in the lucrative Indian Premier League. It was his father Ram Rawat, who had been his idol, and his encouragement helped him reach where he is today. He was first taken to play matches at the local ground by his father and always had his family's support for cricket. He was then enrolled in a cricket academy in Delhi, and it was from there that he continued to move up the ranks. Mayank Rawat became a known name when he played a key role in his team East Delhi Riders' victorious campaign in the Delhi Premier League 2024 where he scored 289 runs. Consistently performing in the local leagues and the domestic tournaments gave him an entry in the Delhi senior team. Mayank Rawat made his First-Class debut for Delhi on 18th October 2024 against Tamil Nadu and not too long after this event he went on to play in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT), where he made his T20 debut on 23rd November 2024 against Uttar Pradesh. His stats in T20s include 11 games where he's scored 114 runs at a strike-rate of 122.58 with his highest score being 29*. He's taken 5 wickets with best figures of 3/5. His First-Class career has been just a one-off till now but he primarily is focusing on white-ball cricket where his hard-hitting with the bat, backed up with his useful off-spin is valuable. Rawat stands at 5 feet 8 inches (173 cm) and is quite an athletic individual. Rawat is an aggressive batsman and believes in attacking with the bat whenever required. With the ball, Rawat relies on variations and can certainly be effective in controlling the middle-overs.
