The India vs Pakistan rivalry is considered to be one of the biggest when it comes to adrenaline rushes. When it feels to have been limited within the boundaries of cricket, star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra got the heat while hosting Arshad Nadeem in the recently concluded NC Classics. The rivalry has been infusing a lot of political stances, especially after the heinous Pahalgam attack followed by India's reply—Operation Sindoor. The sporting situation tensed, especially during the 2025 Mens' Asia Cup in DUbai, when the boycott calls rose. India decided not to shake hands with the Pakistani counterparts and not even engage in any casual conversation with them. Even though such mandates weren't there during the captains' photoshoot and the dinner that followed, the Indian team decided to carry that from match one till the final. Situation tensed so much, that India had an imaginary trophy celebration, as PCB chief, aka the ACC chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, denied handing over the trophy as the captain, Suryakumar Yadav, refused to take it from him. Funny enough, the medals and the trophy are still locked in Dubai. The flame reached the Hero Asia Cup, Hockey, when Pakistan pulled out from the competition, leaving space for Bangladesh. However, the other side of sporting attitude caught the eyes of the netizens when an Indian team decided to high-five with the Pakistani team.
