Cricket West Indies (CWI) on Saturday, November 16, announced their Test squad for the upcoming two-match Bangladesh series which is scheduled to be played in West Indies. West Indies is currently engaged in a five-match T20I series against England where they have already lost three matches on a trot and have already lost the series. After the conclusion of this series, West Indies will clash against Bangladesh in a two-match Test Series which is set to start from November 22. They will be looking to win the series at their home as their recent performance in Test cricket has not been up to the mark. They have lost their previous two Test series against England and South Africa (home) respectively. The squad has been announced with Kraigg Brathwaite as the captain and the wicketkeeper-batter Joshua Da Silva as the vice-captain. Kemar Roach, Alick Athanaze, Keacy Carty, Justin Greaves, and more stars have been named in the squad as well. Spinner Kevin Sinclair made his return to the squad whereas Jason Holder hasn’t been included for this series due to a shoulder injury. Top order-batter Tevin Imlach has been handed his maiden call-up for the Bangladesh series and is likely to make his debut as well. The two-match Test series between West Indies and Bangladesh has been scheduled to be played in Antigua and Jamaica respectively, with the first Test set to go underway on November 22.
