The squad remains mostly unchanged from the team that lost the Sri Lanka series 2-1. Alick Athanaze, Andre Fletcher, Fabian Allen, and Shamar Springer have been left out, with the uncapped Terrance Hinds retaining his spot. Matthew Forde has been brought in as backup following Alzarri Joseph’s two-match suspension for leaving the field during the third ODI. Romario Shepherd is now fit and has been included in the squad. West Indies head coach Daren Sammy mentioned that the team has a well-balanced lineup, though the challenge will be in choosing and finalizing the playing XI, as nearly everyone is competing for a spot. As quoted by ESPNcricinfo, Darren Sammy said: "The T20 team is our most settled team with lots of experienced players. However, the difficulty will be picking the XI, as every single player is challenging for a spot. As we face a very good England team, I am confident that the selected squad will continue to play a brand of cricket that allows us to win games, and this 'Rivalry' series.” West Indies T20I squad vs England Rovman Powell (c), Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Shimron Hetmyer, Terrance Hinds, Shai Hope, Akeal Hosein, Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Gudakesh Motie, Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd
