Rishabh Pant made a sensational comeback to Test cricket with a century in the second innings of the series-opener against Bangladesh after a terrible car crash that kept him out of action since December 2022. That was the last time he played Test cricket; so far, nearly 600 days have passed since that incident. This comeback scene is moving lots of eyes to tears, and fans, experts, and even former players started hailing his journey in praise. One such former player is Pakistan legend Wasim Akram. On Sportskeeda, Akram said: "Look at Pant's performance, the miracle that he has performed by showing he is superhuman by returning from his tragedy. The way his accident happened, we were all worried in Pakistan, I was worried and tweeted about him." Akram recalled the memorable shots of Pant. But one shot which still makes him think is against James Anderson. However, what impresses him most about the recovery is Pant's mental strength. The way he batted against England, playing a reverse sweep against [James] Anderson in Test cricket, even [Pat] Cummins. He's special. "Especially what he has been through in that horrific accident, coming back from that, how mentally strong must that boy be." Wasim Akram feels Pant's story must be carried down to generations as a lesson of meeting various hardships and not giving up. Akram concluded saying: "That's a story to be told for generations and generations, in my opinion, to motivate young people of the world. You can come back the way Pant did." "He came back and averaged 40 in the IPL, 446 runs at a strike rate of 155, he's a miracle kid."
