Spinners Akeal Hosein and Noor Ahmad were among those who hinted that a spinner could thrive and therefore Kuldeep's bowling was an disappointment. Axar also admitted that they were short with the bat: "The way the wicket was behaving in the first innings I thought it was a 155 score but we are playing with 8 batters so I thought we were 10-15 runs short. I thought it was one of those wickets which got slightly better in the second innings but I felt it was more of the case of not having any set batters." He elaborated on how the wicket behave differently in both innings and also that He Concluded: " When set batters play then I feel there is nothing happening but I felt that it was not so and there was something for bowlers also. In the first innings for new batters it was difficult and also the ball used to hold a bit and when you've set batter playing then you feel there's nothing and the way Sanju Samson finishing the game is that the ball wasn't that fast. " Playoff Chances Hanging by a Thread The 8-wicket defeat marked Delhi Capitals sixth defeat this season which is now very difficult to overturn. They are required to win all their remaining four matches and need other results to favor them. Mathematically it might still be possible, but on a consistent basis they haven't quite clicked as they would've hoped for so far this season. Axar Patel's concern will be to keep the squad confident moving forward.
