Lucknow Super Giants ended their IPL 2025 season on a high, defeating Gujarat Titans by 33 runs in a high-scoring thriller on Thursday. LSG captain Rishabh Pant credited his bowlers for defending the above-par total of 235 and was all praise for the resilience shown by the group through the season. “We knew the target was above par. Bowlers held their nerves well. Happy. We talk about playing good cricket, we've shown on occasion we can do that. There were times in the tournament where we had our chances (but didn't make it), but it's part and parcel of the game,” Pant said after the win. Pant admitted LSG had struggled in patches this season but preferred not to dwell on injuries. “Coming into the tournament, there were injury concerns. We made sure it's something we wouldn't talk about. The whole batting unit has played, we lacked a bit on the fielding side. We can't make excuses, just want to learn and move on.” He also acknowledged the brilliance of Gujarat’s Shahrukh Khan, whose 57 off 29 nearly dragged GT close to the target. “It was always a question of getting the top three today, but the way Shahrukh played gives them hope.” Also READ: IPL Finals Reversed: Who’d Have the Most Titles?
