Barbados Royals Women remained undefeated in the 2025 Women's Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) to reclaim their title after defeating the Guyana Amazon Warriors Women by three wickets with two balls remaining in a heart-stopping grand finale, held at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. Set to bat first, the Warriors compiled 136/3 with opener Amy Hunter scoring 29 off 36 deliveries. The remainder of the top order contributed, but were unable to find enough boundaries to post a genuinely tough total. Dane Van Niekerk and captain Shermaine Campbelle put an unbeaten 56-run fourth wicket partnership together after Stafanie Taylor was retired hurt just when the Warriors were planning to pick up the scoring pace. In response, two wickets in the powerplay were lost by the Royals, including the in-form Chamari Athapaththu for 25. Kycia Knight and Courtney Webb maintained their innings to stage the charge for a third title in a row but after a late home fightback. The title winners were on target at 108/4 in the 17th before three wickets were lost for the addition of two runs. Ultimately, Alleyne and Shreyanka Patil prevented further drama with a 27-run stand from 14 balls to ignite crazy celebrations among the ladies in pink and heartbreak and tears for the Warrior spirits. Athapaththu topped the run scoring in the tournament and together with seven wickets was awarded Player of the Series. Ashmini Munisar and Warriors' Laura Harris took eight wickets each to take home the Most Wickets award. The Royals have now increased their dominance over the Warriors to 9-0 after winning.
