He thrashed Australia around the park in the semifinal to lead India to the final and scored an unbeaten 13 in the final to lead India to the championship victory. But Tino Best's behavior in the fag end of the game did not please him and the two had a heated argument. Tino Best had bowled the 13th over and immediately after that, something was not quite between the non-striker Yuvraj Singh and the bowler. The two were exchanging blows in a vicious manner with war of words getting out of control at a certain point of time. The likes of Brian Lara, Ambati Rayudu and Billy Bowden, the umpire had to step in and eventually, the two were parted. It reminded one of the Yuvraj's battle with Andrew Flintoff in 2007 T20 World Cup after which he smashed six sixes. In this match however, Yuvraj remained calm and did not play for big shots following the fight. He completed the chase with Stuart Binny in the 18th over, declaring India Masters champions of the first edition. Vinay Kumar had earlier taken three wickets with the ball, including that of Brian Lara and kept West Indies under control which made it easy for India in the second half.
