Yashasvi Jaiswal, the debutant, marked his presence in the 1st ODI against England at Nagpur by plucking a jaw-dropping catch out of nowhere to dismiss the dangerous batter Ben Duckett for a low score. In the ongoing match between India and England at Nagpur, Harshit Rana, another Indian debutant, who had been smashed for 26 runs in a single over by Phil Salt was brought back into the attack after Salt's dismissal. On the third ball of the 10th over, Rana bowled a short delivery that bounced higher than batter expected. The ball took the top edge of the bat and was travelling towards the mid-wicket region. Jaiswal, who was stationed at that position, ran a long way back from mid-wicket and made a perfectly timed dive to grab the ball and make the impossible look possible.
