Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have started their IPL campaign on high, defeating the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders in the season opener that too in front of the home crowd of KKR. They next defeated Chennai Super Kings at M.A. Chidambaram, giving a statement that the RCB have well and truly arrived as the title contender this season. Before yesterday's MI vs KKR match at Wankhede, Virender Sehwag trolled the Bengaluru-based franchise during a show on Cricbuzz Live Hindi. He made a hilarious remark about Patidar-led RCB being at the top of the table after two games. Mocking RCB, Sehwag called them 'Gareeb' (Poor) and stated let them enjoy being at the top for a while. Sehwag said: "Gareebon ko bhi toh rehne de, photo le le thodi der. Pata nahi kitnin der gareeb log upar rahenge. (Let the poor be on top of the IPL points, let them click photos. Who knows for how long they will be at the top). What do you think, I was talking about money? No. They are all wealthy in terms of money. Franchises earn 400-500 crore every season. I'm not talking about that. The ones who haven't won a single trophy, I'm calling them gareeb." Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, against Gujarat Titans. They have won both of their previous matches, and they will aim for their third consecutive victory. The side has shown several positives early in this season. With Phil Salt, Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar at the top and Liam Livingstone, Jitesh Sharma and Tim David in the middle order, RCB's batting unit looks dangerous, especially on the surface a Chinnaswany, which is often termed as the graveyard for bowlers. With the addition of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood and Krunal Pandya, their bowling unit gains additional experience. The match between RCB and GT promises to be an exciting contest as many big names will take the field against each other.
