India and Australia are up against each other in the 1st semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 at Dubai, and the wicket that was highly awaited by the Indians was of the Australian left-hander Travis Head. Head started off slow, but the southpaw shifted the gears and charged on the Indian bowlers after three overs. From 1 run off 9 balls, Head quickly went on to score 39 off 32 and Then came India's mystery spinner, Varun Chakravarthy. Head, in attacking mode, attempted a big shot on the first delivery of Varun's spell but mistimed it, sending the ball straight to Shubman Gill. The prized wicket of Travis Head gave instant happiness to the Indian fans. The Indian players were also seen delighted after the dismissal, but what caught the attention was the fiery send-off from Virat Kohli. Kohli was seen celebrating with aggression and this showed how crucial this wicket was for Team India in this semi-final clash. The duo nullified the spin threat for almost 15 overs before Ravindra Jadeja dismissed Labuschagne for 29. The 36-year-old spin bowling all-rounder continued his dominance by scalping the wicket of Josh Inglis (11) in the span of four overs. However, India is still far from having complete control of the game as Steve Smith has scored a half-century and he is looking good at the moment. There is a lot of firepower left in the Aussies' bank., and it will be interesting to see how India's spinners restrict Australia from posting a huge total on this surface.
