The ICC Men's T20 World Cup has already seen many great moments, but Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka produced something truly special during the match against Australia national cricket team at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. His stunning catch to dismiss Glenn Maxwell left fans, players, and everyone watching in complete shock. Nissanka had earlier dropped a straightforward catch which allowed Australia to continue their innings. The moment became unfortunate for him because Australia scored runs at a fast pace. Nissanka later returned to the game and used his exceptional catching skills to change its outcome. Sri Lanka spinner Kamindu Mendis delivered his full delivery while bowling during the 17th over. Maxwell attempted to execute a reverse sweep when he struck the ball with great force. The ball appeared to move easily toward the boundary. Nissanka however had other plans. Stationed at backward point, Nissanka showed immediate reaction to the situation. He made a leftward jump while extending his hand completely. In a split second, he grabbed the ball with one hand while in the air. The entire stadium witnessed an exceptional performance which left them in disbelief about what they had experienced.
