During Raigad Royals' chase of 165 against Kolhapur Tuskers in Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) 2025's eliminator, Vicky Ostwal, one of their key batters, had his lucky moment in the middle. He played a shot off Atman Pore off the offside. It was not a strong shot, but it went through the gap and the fielder also fumbled a bit, enabling them to try a second run. When turning for the second run, Ostwal and his batting partner collided accidentally. Both of them tumbled on the ground. This presented a golden opportunity to Kolhapur Tuskers to inflict a run-out. The throw reached the keeper when Ostwal was well away from the crease. But rather than taking away the bails, the wicketkeeper threw the ball back to the bowler. Pore, the bowler, missed picking the ball cleanly. He went on to break the stumps, but by that time, the batter had made it to the non-striker's ensafely. Though still in the middle of the ground previously, another fielder attempted running towards the striker's end in order to affect a run-out. Having seen this, Ostwal left his bat and sprinted to the striker's end. The fielder attempted a throw but failed to hit the stumps. Since there was no backup fielder, Ostwal emerged safely at the crease without any issue. Also Read | Will ICC Fine Gill Over Socks Colour Rule Breach in 1st Test vs ENG?
