In the ongoing match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals, the SRH openers got off to a flyer after having asked to bat first by the stand-in captain of Rajasthan Royals, Riyan Parag. Travis Head was the main man who dismantled the bowling unit of Rajasthan Royals in the first five overs itself. He smashed Jofra Archer for 23 runs in his very first over, smashing three fours and a huge six. His maximum on the second delivery of the fifth over went for as long as 105-m and he continued his wrath on the next four deliveries as well. This was the second costliest over bowled by Jofra Archer in IPL. Meet SRH’s New IPL 2025 Sensation SRH's Explosive Start in Powerplay Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head started off aggressively and the duo added 45 runs in the first three overs. However, Sharma (24) lost his wicket to Theekshana on the first delivery of the fourth over and his wicket allowed Ishan Kishan to make to way in the middle and deliver in his very first outing for SRH. Both the left-handers, Head and Kishan continued to hammer the visiting bowlers all around the park and at end of first six overs, SRH managed to post 94 runs at the loss of one wicket. This was the fifth highest total powerplay in the history of IPL. Head, along with Kishan, kept on smashing boundaries even after the end of powerplay and on the first delivery of eight over, Travis Head reached to his half-century in just 21 balls. Sunrisers Hyderabad are eyeing for a huge total and with the power-packed batting line-up they possess, a score of over 230 seems on the card. Rajasthan Royals' bowlers will need to bowl miraculously to restrict SRH at a total that would be under their reach.
