Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter Travis Head has been at the center of a heated controversy on social media. There has been a viral video that has come up where Head refused to take a selfie with fans at what seemed to be a Hyderabad supermarket. In the video, a fan came up to Head and asked him for a selfie. Head turned him down, but the fans kept pursuing him and kept asking for a selfie. One even told Head how much he is a SRH fan. Despite that, Head still turned him down. Later on, the same fan was heard explaining to other people who were at the store that Head was showing "too much attitude." The video, shared by 'Zayn Khan' on Instagram, quickly received millions of views and spread across other social networking platforms. Online surfers were equally divided in their opinions. Some of the surfers condemned Head, saying he just had to click a picture. Some others came to his defense, saying that players also have their right to privacy, and fans should not disturb them in public. Some of them believed that it resembled harassment rather than support. Travis Head is very popular among Indians, especially after his record-breaking performances against the Indian team and his fireworks innings for SRH since the last season. But moments like these depict the tough side of living as a celebrity. At the same time, SRH's team composition has also been a concern. After their fourth successive loss in IPL 2025, a seven-wicket defeat against Gujarat Titans (GT), their head coach Daniel Vettori stated that their batting unit had not respected the conditions. During the game, SRH could muster only 152/8 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. GT chased the target easily in 16.4 overs. In the midst of tough times on the pitch and off-pitch incidents like this, it has been a tough ride for Travis Head as much as for the Sunrisers Hyderabad team.
