Australia is currently playing the second Test match of the series against Sri Lanka. After winning the first Test match and taking a 1-0 lead in the two-match series, the visitors are yet again in a commanding position. Amid the solid performance by the Australian team on Day 1, an incident has been grabbing the spotlight. Tavis Head, who is often known for his explosive batting skills, has now grabbed the headlines for his yet another post-wicket celebration move. The part-timer offspinner came to bowl and took the wicket of Kamindu Mendis’ wicket in the very first over of his bowling spell. However, it was not only the wicket that caught the attention but his unique celebration after taking the wicket is something that is going viral on social media. In the 46th over of Sri Lanka’s first innings, Head came to bowl against Kamindu Mendis. The off-spinner delivered a short-pitched ball on his last ball, in an attempt to cut the ball, Mendis tried to lean himself but he unfortunately handed a catch to Steve Smith in the slips. Mendis departed for 13 runs off 12 balls, leaving Sri Lanka struggling. Travis Head was seen celebrating this wicket with his unique celebration and felt like he was mocking the Sri Lankan team for their batting failure. His hand gesture showed that he had touched something hot. Pathum Nissanka returned to the second Test after missing the first Test match due to an injury but he failed to put up a good score to his tally. A composed innings from Chandimal and Kusal Mendis kept Sri Lanka active in the match and took the team to a decent total in their first innings. Dinesh Chandimal scored 74 runs and Kusal Mendis is still at the crease playing on 54, he will look to add as many runs as he can on the second day. Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon were the stand-out bowlers from the Aussie side as both took three wickets.
