David Warner did not find his way out from the franchise cricket blues as he once again had a nightmare stint in the ZimAfro T10 League. The Australian opener was playing for the Bulawayo Brave Jaguars and faced a superb delivery from Zimbabwean pacer Tinashe Muchawaya, which bowled him back. Warner, who opened the innings, was stunned when the ball dipped a little to rattle his stumps. He could manage only one run before getting bowled early. Warner has already played one match, and for this second one he played, it was not much better. In that particular match, he could score only two runs. His present form in the tournament is not very good, though, and that certainly does raise a question for future matches. However, Warner's team, the Jaguars, were able to make it up to the total of 110 runs in his 10 overs. Their bowlers tried their best to defend the total but failed to do as the Tigers chased down the target with 1 ball to go. The T10 format of the ZimAfro League has already been witnessed with teams easily chasing totals above 100 runs. Therefore, it was not at all an easy match for the Jaguars. Masakadza bagged 2 wickets for Jaguar, while Dupavillon, Chirwa, Danajaya and Brathwaite picked a wicket each. Mohammad Shahzad and Kusal Perera scored 20 and 22 respectively while chasing the target. George Linde played an excellent hand of 31 off just 16. Karim Janat also added a valuable 23 off 10 to guide Joburg to the victory. The Jaguars will face the Joburg Bangla Tigers and the Cape Town Samp Army next in a desperate bid to redeem themselves.
