The Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 eliminator game between West Delhi Lionz (WDL) and South Delhi Superstarz (SDS) went sour after the players' temper flared twice on the field. The high-stake match witnessed two different heated arguments involving players from the both the sides, which overshadowed an incredible knock by Nitish Rana. The initial incident occurred in the 10th over of the innings when Digvesh Rathi came running in to bowl the last delivery but pulled out without bowling, apparently attempting to rattle Nitish Rana, who was in top form. On his second attempt, Rana moved away from his position, and the two shared a few words. When Rathi finally bowled the last ball of the over, Rana reverse-swept it for a six over third man and mocked Rathi by pretending to sign his bat, imitating Rathi’s trademark wicket celebration. Rathi responded with a comment that angered Rana, who charged aggressively at him. Players from both sides intervened and separated the two cricketers to avoid an escalation.
