The air is electric at Headingley as Northern Superchargers Women host Oval Invincibles Women in Match 25 of The Hundred Women 2025. With the home fans singing their hearts out, the game has already produced a highlight moment that has already established the tone for the night. The pick of the first innings was on ball 42, when Australian all-rounder Annabel Sutherland bowled a ball that is being touted as the tournament's ball. Bowling to experienced Marizanne Kapp, Sutherland came in with a good-length ball that pitched around middle and seamed back sharply. Kapp, taken aback, watched as her stumps were destroyed as the crowd went wild. The South African celebrity strode back for a mere 6 runs, as Sutherland's team celebrated. The wicket has already become a viral hit on social media for sheer brilliance. Having won the toss and chosen to bat, Oval Invincibles Women struggled to find runs off disciplined Superchargers bowling. Captain Lauren Winfield-Hill led the way with a vital 37 from 30 balls, holding the innings together when wickets fell around her. Cross was stingy with her spell, giving just 16 runs from 20 balls and also taking two wickets. Sutherland, aside from her Enchantress ball to Kapp, took 2 for 26, which meant the Invincibles could not get loose in the middle overs. Although there were some late forays, the Invincibles were left with just a paltry 125/6 in their 100 overs. With the target now laid out before them, the responsibility falls on the batting line-up of the Superchargers to try and chase down 126 runs at Headingley.
