The current captain of the Indian T20I team, Suryakumar Yadav, tried his hand at bowling during the ongoing Buchi Babu Tournament. During the third day of the match against the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, he tried bowling in the last over. In the third ball, though, he lost control and bowled a high full toss that scared the short-leg fielder. Batter Athish S R pulled the delivery on the front foot, and the poor short-leg fielder had to duck. Suryakumar quickly raised his hands to apologize and went back to his bowling mark. The fact that the 33-year-old is bowling for his team is an indication that the management is getting him to bowl more, perhaps in a bid to get him fitted into the other two formats of the game. He even bowled in the final T20I against Sri Lanka, where he had two important wickets to his name, which forced the game into a Super Over. pic.twitter.com/6XfiJBQ4M7 — Cricket Cricket (@cricket543210) August 29, 2024 TNCA XI made 286 runs in their second innings.
