In match 6 of the Group stage of the 2025 Asia Cup, the Indians' refusal to shake hands with their Pakistani counterparts has been the center of attention. However, it started with the toss, when Suryakumar Yadav, India's captain, turned away from Pakistan's Salman Ali Agha after the latter won the toss. In a recently viral video, Surya was seen tossing the coin, and then Salman walked towards the presenter to have his say. And then when Salman tried to go towards the Indian dressing room, the door was shut on their face. Agha, hurt, did not come during the post-match presentation, unlike India's Suryakumar Yadav. Shaheen Shah Afridi came to receive his award. Later, a PTI report confirmed that it was Pakistan's way to officially protest against India's denial.
