India A locked horns with Pakistan A in the fourth match of the ACC Men's T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman. Tilak Varma, the skipper of India A, won the toss and decided to bat first. Openers Abhishek Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh started well for India A, scoring 68 runs in the first six overs of the match. However, on the first ball of the 7th over, Pakistan's left-arm spinner sent Abhishek Sharma packing as he tried to hit it over the top but mishit that came flying high in which Qasim Akram made no mistake to catch it. After the dismissal, bowler Sufiyan was celebrating with a send-off and had some words with Abhishek. The Indian batter appeared to be unhappy to this behavior of the bowler, discussing it with his partner as well as the umpire as he walked off. Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera added some brief partnership, however Wadhera was sent back by Sufiyan. After 15 overs, India A was standing at 122 for 4 looking to set a challenging total for their neighbors to chase.
