Chasing a mammoth 287 runs in their season opener, Rajasthan Royals have been pegged back really early in the run chase and have lost two wickets inside the first two overs both to Simarjeet Singh who is making his debut for SRH. First Jaiswal and then skipper Parag When you give your bowlers 287 runs to defend, they already have their tails up before even running into bowl and that is exactly what pacer Simarjeet Singh showcased in his very first over. It was an expensive start from Shami who gave away 16 runs in the first over of the innings as Samson took him apart. But then, Simarjeet Singh made an impression straightaway as he removed both Jaiswal and Parag in a space of three deliveries. His first one died down on the way to the keeper but the second one flew over the keeper with some brisk pace and then Jaiswal cut one to point where Abhinav Manohr took a sharp catch over his head. RR skipper Riyan Parag promoted himself to 3 and got a boundary off the first ball but then on the very next ball got hurried up on a 145+ kmph short ball and spooned it to mid-on.
