India has been trying their best not to give wickets and get a draw out of the fourth Test match. India has already lost KL Rahul for 90, with a low ball from Ben Stokes. Ben Stokes, who was himself suffering from pain, and was shelving his right hand behind his back everytime he delivered, somehow managed to hurt Shubman Gill. It happened at the first ball of the 73rd over, when a ball from Stokes went straight towards the stumps with a slight inside turn from the length. Heads down, Gill opened the face of his bat and tried to defend it. But the ball fiercely came and hit his bottom hand, and bounced so hard to the grill of his helmet that a piece from it flew off. Shubman immediately threw off his helmet and gloves and walked aside, shaking his hand vigorously. He already had his thumb taped, and the ball added more of it. The physio was summoned. His helmet was checked. And after some treatment, Shubman carried on. His face showed that he was battling, and then ultimately he got used to it. Speaking about Ben Stokes, he himself was struggling but still stood out as the best amongst the English bowlers, finding out the right lines. Unlike Jofra Archer, he has been a bit wider from the stumps with his release point. Not only that, he has been hitting the length continuously, getting enough bounce except for the one that bagged KL Rahul. Presently, Shubman Gill sealed his fourth century of the series with Washington Sundar (7*) on his side, tackling the chirping and the bounce. India have 206 runs on the board and is trailing by 105 runs.
