The newly appointed Indian skipper, Shubman Gill, has been a bit chatty during the two Tests, sometimes dropping meme-worthy one-liners while sometimes shouting and guiding his bowlers. However, on day 2 at Edgbaston, the captain was found fuming with his fellow batting partner, Akash Deep. Notably, Akash has substituted Jasprit Bumrah, who has been rested from the second Test due to workload management. However, with the bat, he got scolded by Shubman Gill for almost giving an easy wicket. Even though it was Gill who gave the call, Akash did not respond quickly. Gill hit the ball, and it went to Ollie Pope at the leg Gully. Pope fell on the ball and quickly threw it to the keeper. in the meantime, Akash Deep dove and glided back to the crease and thankfully survived the run out. Watch that, Gill madly asked, "Dekh kya raha hey!" {What are you looking at?} Watch the video here: pic.twitter.com/cXM1utO4a8 — Nihari Korma (@NihariVsKorma) July 3, 2025 Read also: Shubman Gill Joins Elite List of Indian Captains with Double Ton in Tests Gill’s Marathon Knock, Akash Deep’s Burst Put India on Top India remained in firm control at Edgbaston by the end of Day 2 of the second Test, thanks to a commanding double century from Shubman Gill and a fiery opening spell by Akash Deep.
