Shikhar Dhawan, the former Indian cricketer who is famous for his jolly personality, was once again in the limelight during the Big Cricket League (BCL) 2024. The Delhi batter showed his humane side when a ball hit into the stands injured a young fan during the semi-final match in Surat. The incident occurred in the second semi-final match between Southern Spartans and Northern Challengers. A ball which was hit into the stand hit a young fan on his chest accidentally. Though this was not a serious injury, it did catch up the attention of Shikhar Dhawan, and he immediately responded to him by going to check on that fan. There's video going viral of the moment as Dhawan saw the fan being treated in the stands because of his injuries. The former Indian cricketer immediately went closer and threw a water bottle for the fan and this showed his caring nature. This small kind-hearted act warmed the hearts of fans and brought out a kind personality in Dhawan. After retirement, Dhawan is still playing domestic leagues. This year, he played in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) for the Karnali Yaks. In four matches, he scored 301 runs at a strike rate of 198.02. In BCL 2024, Dhawan started well with a match-winning performance of 86 runs off 43 balls against the Southern Spartans in the first match. His team got eliminated from the tournament as they lost to the Southern Spartans in the semi-finals.
